Written and Composed by Eduard Alexogiannopoulos, performed with Alex Alexogiannopoulos
I recorded this one week at home one time when it was raining outside and there was nothing on tv.
I didn’t know (til it was too late) Eduard Alexogiannopoulos & Alex Alexogiannopoulos
Never anything more than a friendship,
We both accepted,
That we were worlds apart,
Both uninterested.
So the news came quite unexpected,
I should have guessed it,
But I was kept in the dark,
By such a subtle spark,
And by the time I finally found out,
You had gone.
I didn’t know you wanted me,
I didn’t know I wanted you babe,
Til it was too late.
Kept telling myself I was dreaming,
The things I was seeing,
Didn’t really exist,
There were no such feelings.
Waiting for you to show me the green light,
Circled by stop signs,
That were all in my mind,
And in the mean time,
You were waiting for me all along.
I didn’t know you wanted me,
I didn’t know I wanted you babe,
Til it was too late.
So we both kept ourselves well protected,
That’s how it ended,
I never saw you again,
But every now and then,
I think about what could have been.
I didn’t know you wanted me,
I didn’t know I wanted you babe,
Til it was too late.
